Renaming Moreland Information Night - Online

Thursday 26th May

Time:  6.30 – 7:45pm

Online on Zoom

We want everyone in the community to join the conversation on the new Woi-wurrung name options for City Council.

At this session we will talk about why we are renaming Moreland, how the process will work and how you can participate in this important and historic decision for our community.

You will have an opportunity to ask questions about the process at the end of our session.

The 26th May is National Sorry Day.

The first National Sorry Day was observed in 1998, a year after the first “Bringing Them Home” report — the result of a government inquiry into the child-stealing of the 20th century — was brought before the Australian Parliament. National Sorry Day is a day to acknowledge the strength of Stolen Generations Survivors and reflect on how Australians can all play a part in the healing process for the people and nation.
