This year, Council will transition to a new City Council name.
Council has endorsed 3 proposed names that hold significance to local Traditional Owners, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people.

This Collection Notice applies to information collected through this survey. The personal information requested on the hardcopy form and on Council’s Conversations Moreland website is being collected by Moreland City Council for the purpose of seeking public opinion and naming preferences relating to the renaming of Moreland. All of the information that you provide will be treated as confidential and will only be used for this purpose.
The personal information will be disclosed to Conversations Caravan who have been contracted by Moreland City Council for the purposes of analysing data collected through the survey process. Conversations Caravan have signed a confidentiality agreement and will abide by Council’s Privacy obligations. Your private information will not be disclosed to any other external party without your consent, unless required or authorised by law. Survey results will only be handled by those staff necessary and will not be widely accessible throughout the organisation.
We are asking for your personal information to ensure validity of survey responses, as well as understand who in the community we are hearing from. You are not able to participate anonymously as we wish to ensure the integrity of this survey by ensuring that people are only providing feedback once and that only those impacted by the name change will have a say. Therefore, anonymous entries will not be counted or considered.
Submission and survey responses will be summarised for the purposes of a report to Council and will not include personal information relating to the submitter.
