Food service businesses in Moreland are invited to fill out the survey below about how we can reimagine outdoor dining when Covid-19 restrictions ease.
The Victorian Government recently announced a $290 million Outdoor Eating and Entertainment Package to help hospitality businesses and local councils expand outdoor dining options as part of the covid-19 roadmap to recovery.
After consultation with the Moreland community we have developed a plan to assist hospitality businesses setup functional, safe and attractive outdoor dining options.
We’ll be consulting directly with businesses in the next week through an expression of interest process with the aim of tailoring our outdoor dining solutions to individual business needs.
In the meantime we’re gathering some initial thoughts to help us, and you, begin to imagine how we’ll reinvigorate the dining culture Moreland is famous for. Please fill out the short survey to help us get a snapshot of what outdoor dining might mean for your business.
Election period 2020 and consultation
Please note that it is currently the election period for local government which will run through until Saturday 24 October which means community consultation is on pause during this time. However due to the time sensitive nature of the Covid-19 restrictions and the need to get outdoor dining planned and underway, we have made the decision to proceed with this consultation. All feedback gained will be used by Council Officers solely for the purpose of helping business plan a tailored approach to outdoor dining, and will not be used in anyway to influence or support the election. Thank you.
