The Douglas Reserve playground is well utilised by the local community. On any given day there are plenty of kids enjoying the equipment. An upgrade is welcomed. A well designed area can have both play equipment and spaces/seating for everyone. It doesn't need to be a zero sum game. The roundabout should stay and it seems this a popular item (I dare not call it a carousal and risk the wrath of the anti-scout keyboard warrior. No Toilet or BBQ! A playground that fosters creativity and imagination
Please no toilet or BBQ, the space is too small for both amenities and would be an eyesore within the space and for local residents. A bubbler would be a nice addition. Keeping the new community garden and the gum trees is a must. Not only do they provide great shade for daily visitors, they attract a number of native birds during the day and flying foxes at night.
