Help us develop an improved Community Grants Policy

We're calling on our community to help us review and redevelop Moreland's Community Grants Policy and Guidelines.

Our Community Grants Program is a key community strengthening initiative that has been in existence since 1996. The program has not changed much since 2009 and we want to make sure this program continues to meet the needs and aspirations of our community.

We want to make a more impactful program. To do this we need to identify community need for funds and how processes can be more efficient and streamlined, both for the community applying for grants and for council officers that support the program.

Our aims for this project are:

  • To help Council better understand the needs of our community and community organisations.
  • To review how other organisations award grants, and how we can better align the grant funding streams to Council’s most recent strategies and plans, while responding to community needs.
  • To identify what makes applying for a grant challenging, and find ways to simplify the process and make funding even more impactful.

We're seeking your input to this review

Tell us how you think we can improve our Community Grants Program by completing the survey below by 5pm, Sunday 28 November 2021.

Your feedback will inform a review of the program and development of a directions paper to determine the future of this project.
