Carlisle Street, Coburg – Trial Road Closure and Shared Zone

We are calling on local residents to tell us what they think about the proposal to trial a road closure to through traffic at Carlisle Street in Coburg. This would convert the road into a shared zone where pedestrian and cyclist use is prioritised, making it easier for local residents to move around the neighbourhood.

The zone of the trial is Carlisle Street in Coburg between Nicholson Street and Darlington Grove, including the three intersections of Glenora Avenue, Huntington Grove and Nicholson Street. The proposal would see temporary infrastructure installed in the zone including tree plots, new street furniture and bollards to restrict through traffic at the intersections.

A map of the zone can be found in the document library of this web page.
